what is the selection process?
Stage#1
Applications will be screened by the DESTINY Administrative Team (AT) and validated by the DESTINY Executive Board (EB).
Each application will be carefully checked against the Eligibility criteria and the documents requested and provided. Only the applications that pass the Eligibility check will go through to the Grading from Paper Applications (STAGE#2).
Stage#2
An International Panel of DESTINY Experts will evaluate the applications.
Each evaluation will be fully independent, confidential and free from any conflict of interest. Each expert will score the applications according to the evaluation criteria described in the Guide for Applicants.
Stage#3
The 60* best-ranked applicants after STAGE#2 will be invited in October/November to an individual videoconference interview with the Selection Committee (SC). The interview will evaluate the suitability of the candidate’s profile to the doctoral program and his/her ability to communicate in English. The SC will evaluate the research skills and motivation, with the help of the evaluation criteria described in the Guide for Applicants.
Stage#4
The AT, under the supervision of the DESTINY Coordinator, will be responsible for conveying the results to the applicants, in early April. Candidates will confirm their topic choice (within the 2 topics offered), priority being given to candidates with higher rankings.
