Umicore is a leading circular material technology company and a leader in the development and production of cathode active materials for Lithium-ion batteries. The electrification of transportation and the strong impact of sustainability have tremendous impact on our group and society in general. It is crucial for Umicore to grasp the impact of this transformation on cathode materials chemistries and associated metals demand.
During this training, surrounded by Umicore experts, the PhD students of Cohort 2 forcasted the impact of electrification on primary metal resources and advise Umicore on its material development strategy.
This training was organized by Laura ALBERO BLANQUER, David MERCHIN and Juliana MAFRA
