Cohort#1 Ethics training will be on Monday, May 9, 2022 online! DESTINY fellows, as well as their PhD supervisors and all Ethics contact points are invited to attend. DESTINY fellows will be trained on several ethical aspects, ranging from Scientific Integrity, Environmental Awareness, International Charters, Good Practices, Data Management. This training is mandatory for DESTINY Fellows!

The first DESTINY School will be held from May 3 to 6, 2022 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at the National Institute of Chemistry. A group of 7 DESTINY Fellows is expected. Objective? To learn and deepen the knowledge about Impedance Spectroscopy applied to Electrochemical Systems! 

The last Stage of DESTINY Cohort#2 after the oral interviews is the assignment of topics! Three lists will be made after the interviews: the Recommended for Funding (RF), the Reserve List (RL) and the Not Funded (NF). A period of about 1.5 months will be needed to asign the topics and to elaborate the final list of Awarded Fellows with the 24 PhD topics of Cohort#2. Please note that the final acceptance is subject to the approval of the defense security procedures of each country (ZRR in France for example). A Selection Committee (10 members + 1 Chairman which does not evaluate candidate) will be in charge of interviewing candidates on April 4 and 5, 2022. The schedules of passages will be defined according to the zones of residence of the candidates. Interviews will take place in French time (GMT+2). 54 experts were called to evaluate the 154 eligible Applicants! Applicants will benefit from 5 independent evaluations. The evaluation criteria are available in the Guide for Applicants. Results are expected in early March! 2022!

The results of the STAGE#1 have just been sent! Congratulations to the 154 eligible candidates whose files will be evaluated by a panel of 54 experts ! 

The Call for Applications ended on Sunday, January 23! On Monday January 24, 2022, the Selection Process started with STAGE#1 - Eligibility Check. DESTINY's administrative team checks the  250 applications, paying particular attention to the respect of MSCA rules and the presence of the requested documents! The STAGE#1 will be validated by the Executive Board.

A few more days and the DESTINY Kick-off meeting for Cohort#1 will take place! This first kick-off meeting will take place at the LRCS (Laboratoire de Réactivité et de Chimie des Solides), in Amiens, France, on December 14 and 15, 2021, at the same time as the ALISTORE ERI bi-annual meeting. The DESTINY fellows of Cohort#1 will present their topics in front of about 100 Academic and Industrial members of the European battery network.

The DESTINY Welcome Meeting for the 26 Awarded Fellows of Cohort#1 will take place at the same time as the ALISTORE meeting scheduled in Amiens on December 14 and 15. The Awarded Fellows will have to present their thesis in 5 minutes in front of all the partners invited to the meeting! It will also be the first opportunity for them to enter the European battery network and to meet renowned scientists!

Following the oral interviews & a meeting with the Executive Board and the Selection Committee ; in the total of the 58 applicants called for the Oral interviews:

- 26 are Recommended For Funding

- 6 are in the Reserve List

- 18 are Not Funded

- 8 Not Attended the oral interviews.

At the end of STAGE#4, DESTINY Cohort#1 have 27 Awarded Fellows!! Congratulations to all of them !!

In the total of 84 evaluated applicants, 58 reached a score equal to or higher than 70/100!

The 58 applicants are called for the oral interviews that will take place on March 29th and 30th 2021 on Zoom (France' Time zone) with the Selection Committee !

The Selection Committee is composed of 11 members including the Chairman (the coordinator of DESTINY, MASQUELIER Christian).

They will evaluate the applicants according the 5 rating criteria available in the Guide for Applicants.

In the total of 195 applicants, 84 are eligible for the STAGE#2 !

The 63 experts of the DESTINY STAGE#2 will evaluate the applicants according to the 5 rating criteria available in the "Guide for Applicants".

Each applicant will be evaluated by 7 independant experts!
